SMS Consent

This page documents, for regulatory and carrier review purposes, how end users of the Adomo AI Platform opt in to receive transactional SMS notifications. The related Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions govern this program.


Program in one sentence

Adomo AI sends transactional SMS to authenticated workspace members when a workflow requires their action (approval, escalation, or reminder). No marketing. No promotions. Opt-in is affirmative and always reversible.


Who can receive messages

Recipients are employees of an organization that has licensed the Adomo AI Platform. To receive SMS, a user must:

  1. Sign in to the Platform with their corporate single sign-on account at app.adomo.ai.
  2. Navigate to Settings → Notifications in the authenticated Platform.
  3. Add a mobile phone number in E.164 format (for example, +1 for US/Canada, +44 for the UK, +61 for Australia).
  4. Affirmatively check the SMS consent checkbox described below.

Until step 4 is completed, SMS dispatch is blocked for that number.


The user enters a phone number. Until the consent checkbox is actively checked, the Platform displays the message “Required — SMS dispatch is blocked until you consent.” and refuses to send any SMS to that number.

The exact on-screen disclosure next to the unchecked checkbox reads:

I consent to receive transactional SMS from this platform at the number above. Reply STOP to opt out. Msg & data rates may apply. [View consent terms]

The checkbox is unchecked by default. It is never pre-selected. The “View consent terms” link opens the workspace’s full consent terms.

Step 2 — user actively checks the box

The user clicks the checkbox. Only after this affirmative action does the Platform record consent and unblock SMS dispatch. The recorded timestamp is shown back to the user as confirmation.

The Platform stores, for each opt-in:

  • the E.164-formatted mobile number;
  • the exact timestamp at which the user checked the box (“Consent recorded [date and time]”);
  • the identity of the signed-in workspace member who made the change.

What recipients receive

Every outbound SMS carries the “[Adomo]” brand tag and STOP / HELP instructions. Representative templates:

Message frequency is typically 0–5 messages per user per day and fewer than 30 per user per month.


Opt-out

A recipient may opt out at any time by either:

  • Unchecking the consent box in Settings → Notifications inside the Platform; or
  • Replying STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, or OPTOUT to any Adomo SMS.

On receipt of any of those signals, the inbound webhook records the suppression in real time and blocks all future outbound SMS to the number. A single final confirmation is sent:

You have been unsubscribed from Adomo and will receive no further messages. Reply START to resubscribe.

The recipient may later resubscribe by replying START, UNSTOP, or YES, or by re-checking the consent box in the Platform.

Privacy

Mobile phone numbers, consent records, and SMS content are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Mobile opt-in data is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are shared only with Twilio (our SMS delivery provider) for message routing, and with the workspace’s administrators and authorized system-of-record integrations as necessary to fulfill the underlying workflow.
